Palmer To Start For Raiders, McNabb Benched, NBA LockOut Continues, Redskins QB Change, & My Results From My Week 6 NFL Picks

Have you ever been unemployed, broke, nothing to do the next day? Well that was Carson Palmer all except maybe the being broke part. He went to bed as a retired football player and then woke up to a text message early Tuesday morning telling him to fly to Oakland to complete a trade with the Raiders. Palmer is expected to replace injured quarter back Jason Campbell.

The Raiders are 4-2 and when Jason Campbell got hurt last Sunday, Oct 16, 2011 the Raiders went on a panic frenzy to acquire another quarter back. The only question that is left is, can a rusty previously retired Carson Palmer get it together by this Sunday Oct 23, 2011 game against the Kansas City Chief's?. Lucky for Palmer they are playing the Chief's in Oakland because the Chief's have sucked this year with a 2-3 record. However, this is a division rivalry game and we know even the sorry teams come to play extra hard in division rivalry games. This is a game to definitely watch out for. I'm picking Oakland to win.

MCNABB BENCHED

McNabb said that him being benched was a surprise. Really McNabb?!?! The Vikings are 1-5 and they are at the bottom of the NFC north. If the Minnesota Viking's Coach didn't do something fast his butt would have been on the way out the door first. The Vikings are not going to make the playoff's this year lets just get that out in the open. They are in a division with the Green Bay Packers who are 6-0, the Detroit Lions who are 5-1, and the Chicago Bears who are 3-3.

At this point only a miraculous act from God can get the Vikings into the playoffs. Lets see if that miraculous act from God is benching McNabb, who didn't help the Redskins get anywhere last season either, and replacing McNabb with Christian Ponder.

The NBA has completely shown its butt. This is what like day 112 of the NBA lockout? I really don't know because I have lost count of the days. For the past two days they have met all day! ALL DAY and you have not come up with anything yet. Then they are suppose to met today also. Hum, this leads one to believe all they like to do is meet. What is this a three day date? I was so ready to see Derrick Rose become MVP two years in a row, but that doesn't look like that's going to happen. Then to top it off the NBA star players are talking about going on a world tour and possible TV deals?!?! I am done. SO done!

JOHN BECK REPLACES REX GROSSMAN

The Washington Redskins benched quarter back Rex Grossman for John Beck. The Reskins are 3-2 and are second in the NFC East. I see the Redskins Coach is NOT playing. I mean a 3-2 record is not that bad for you to bench your quarter back and replace him. However when you throw four interceptions helping the Philadelphia Eagles, who are in the same division as you are in, win a division rivalry game last Sunday October 16, 2011, people can get a little upset. In this case REALLY upset.
